Anna Elton, PhD, LMFT
Anna Elton is the Founder and Executive Director of Longwood Care, Inc., a nonprofit mental health organization that has grown to include multiple facilities providing comprehensive therapy services. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical sexologist, author, and international speaker with more than a decade of clinical experience.
Anna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a PhD in Clinical Sexology. Over the past 10+ years, she has provided solution-focused, systemic therapy to individuals, couples, parents, children, and families, developing innovative approaches and exclusive modalities that integrate evidence-based and relational frameworks.
Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of areas, including:
Positive Parenting and family systems work
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including immigrants, nursing home residents, survivors of abuse, and individuals navigating complex identity and relational challenges. Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, Anna is able to provide culturally sensitive care to a broad client base.
Beyond her clinical practice, Anna has authored more than 40 books for children, parents, and adults. These works combine therapy and storytelling to build emotional intelligence and social-emotional learning from early childhood into adulthood. Her thought leadership has been recognized with numerous awards and media appearances, including features on PBS, ABC, FOX, and NBC, as well as contributions to major news outlets.
Through her nonprofit leadership, clinical work, publications, and speaking engagements, Anna continues to empower thousands of individuals and families to strengthen emotional intelligence, transform self-perception, and build healthier, more connected relationships.
